May I again ask for some help and advice
please?
Now my layout is slowly taking shape, I am looking at background papers, to go behind the buildings etc. I have standard Faller and other papers , which although are good, I need a town picture of a typical DDR street, with shops etc.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to make them myself, and does anyone know where i can get photos of DDR streets from?
I guess I could print them on A4 then stitch them together, or is there another way of doing it?

darf ich Sie erneut um Hilfe und Rat bitten?

Meine Modellbahnanlage nimmt langsam Gestalt an, und ich suche nach Hintergrundpapieren für die Gebäude usw. Ich habe Standardpapier von Faller und anderen Herstellern, die zwar gut sind, aber ich benötige ein Stadtbild einer typischen DDR-Straße mit Geschäften usw. Kann mir jemand sagen, ob man solche Bilder selbst erstellen kann? Und weiß jemand, wo ich Fotos von DDR-Straßen finden kann?

Ich könnte sie auf A4 ausdrucken und zusammenkleben, oder gibt es eine andere Möglichkeit?

Vielen Dank im Voraus für dieses großartige Forum mit so vielen hilfsbereiten Modellbauern. Es zeigt, dass man in unserem Hobby nie allein ist.

probably You may find some inspirations with these search results
but I'm in doubt, that one of these pictures is suitable for background.
Taking photos in the former GDR was not so easy (some friends lost film or/and camera) so beside from "official" pictures / postcards (mainly from beautiful sights of Berlin or Dresden), the material will be quite limited.

That would be my 5 "Aluchips" (currency of GDR) related to topic.

Hallo. You find many postkards from GDR-towns and villages on ebay. I think, you can put some pictures together and creat a picture vor you. I'm not a great friend from KI, but here it may be helpful.

Und weil mein Englisch holprig ist: Es finden sich viele Postkarten von DDR-Städten und Dörfern auf ebay. Daraus lassen sich Motive kombinieren und so die gewünschten Bilder erzeugen. Auch wenn ich kein Freund von KI bin, ist deren Nutzung in dem Fall hilfreich.
